Peanut Butter Patties

Peanut Butter Chips Ingredients
¼ c. creamy peanut butter
1 Tbsp. maple syrup
1 Tbsp. melted vegan butter
1 Tbsp. powdered sugar
Cookie Dough Ingredients
½ c. softened vegan butter
½ c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
¼ c. cocoa powder
¾ c. heat-treated, all-purpose flour (see notes section)
½ tsp. salt
1 oz. crushed graham crackers
Peanut Butter Chips Instructions
In a small bowl, mix all ingredients until well combined.
Spread a thin layer of the peanut butter mixture on a small lined cookie sheet and freeze until hard (approximately 30 minutes).
Remove from the freezer and break into small pieces.
Cookie Dough Instructions
In a medium-sized bowl, combine vegan butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.
In the same bowl, slowly add heat-treated flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
Once the dough is formed, add crushed graham crackers and peanut butter chips.
Store any leftover dough in the refrigerator.
Notes
Flour is technically a "raw food." Without heating it to a safe temperature, there is a risk for germs (example: E Coli). To heat treat your flour, spread a thin layer of flour on a lined baking sheet. Bake at 350°F for approximately 5 minutes or until the flour reaches 160°F. Break up any large clumps with a wire whisk and cool completely (approximately 30 minutes).
Once stirred into the cookie dough, the peanut butter chips will not stay frozen. Freezing the peanut butter mixture before mixing it into the dough will create peanut butter bites throughout the dough.
Honey graham crackers are not vegan, but Nabisco Original Graham Crackers are.
